Pubs and bars in Guernsey can apply to stay open up until 02:00 BST during the World Cup.
The Committee for Home Affairs said it would process the applications for premises showing the matches and that would then be considered by the Liquor Licensing Court.
The World Cup will be the first to feature 48 teams and is being held from 11 June until 19 July in three host countries – Canada, Mexico and the USA.

The President of Home Affairs Marc Leadbeater asked islanders planning to stay out and enjoy the games to do so responsibly.
He said: “We have had discussions with some key stakeholders, including Guernsey Police, and from a Home Affairs perspective we would be supportive of applications, as long as appropriate conditions were applied to support public order.
“I would urge everyone to enjoy any extension to licensing hours responsibly so that we can remember the World Cup for all the right reasons and not do anything that would prevent extensions being applied in the future.”
